How is your little sailboat prepared? We’ve thought of everything!

Les Ateliers de La Gazelle des Sables has prepared each little sailboat to be easy to use, simple to handle and accessible at every stage of your life.

Discovering your baby for the first time is an emotional moment. Our experience since 2005 guides us to make you autonomous as quickly as possible with small, well-equipped sailing boats.

A small, well-prepared sailboat, ready to sail

Of course, every small sailboat leaves us having been prepared with the utmost care. A 100% quality protocol had to be validated. All boats are complete and ready to sail. This systematically includes :

  • The shell in the color of your choice: black, white, burgundy, midnight blue, royal blue, light blue, yellow, red… you name it, we’ve got it. We’ll adapt our expertise to your personal tastes.

All hulls are equipped with :

  • The keel heel wheel: for support and protection of this sensitive area.
  • Stainless steel soft band: to protect the keel and dock with peace of mind
  • 2 port/starboard bilge keels: for natural grounding without damaging your equipment
  • Bow chainplate: your boat’s pulling point
  • From 2 to 4 side storage hatches, interior cockpit drain and 1 or more removable wooden seats.
  • The spars are made of white powder-coated aluminum or imitation wood, and some have a telescopic mast.
  • The sails, sheets and halyards are made of particularly sturdy polyester: everything is on station!

All the necessary standard deck fittings are fitted, tested and approved.

On this standard basis, the catalog of options and accessories allows you to :

  • customize your boat as you wish: slatted floor, slatted deck, traditional fittings, etc.
  • customize your hull and sail colors
  • choose the right equipment for your needs: furniture, awnings, biminis, oars, etc.
  • select the best solutions for your pleasure: trailer, cart, engine, cockpit furniture…
  • And choose his baptismal name: we offer you a wood engraving with his little name:

 

No surprises! All our boats are ready to sail from the factory, including category D safety equipment, but excluding individual safety armbands.

For sailboats: sails, sheets, fittings, spars and mast windvane are pre-set and ready to use.

Trailers are pre-adjusted and equipped with straps, turnbuckles, jockey wheel, spare wheel and manual winch, excluding license plate.

On the administrative side: your boat comes with an Owner’s Manual and a Written Declaration of Conformity for registration.

What to expect when sailing.

You don’t need anything to welcome you. Eventually, it will be easier to plan :

  1. A standard license plate, identical to that of your vehicle, for your trailer, if applicable.
  2. Copy of your identity card and proof of address, if applicable.
  3. When it comes to insurance, contacting your insurer can help.

Please note: all trailers are equipped with a 7-pin electrical socket. Adapters are readily available from any auto parts store.

However, for your first navigation, you will need to

  1. Personal safety armbands: mandatory!
