Patrick Besnié, naval architect and shipbuilder for over 30 years, is also a composite materials engineer. His industrial experience enables him to select the best technologies and raw materials for perfect production quality.
Les Ateliers de La Gazelle Des Sables – SAS PB Concept was founded in 2005.
2011: Export development: Brazil, USA, Polynesia, European Union.
2014: The production site moves to Chaudefonds-sur-Layon – France (49290), in the heart of the Coteaux du Layon vineyards, where good wine and fine boats are born!
2016: Every year, 50 new boats are born at the La Gazelle des Sables workshops, thanks to a constantly renewed stock.
2022: A new rhythm begins: fewer shows, fewer exhibitions, more sailing at your
side, more time to understand your situation and your desires so that together we can imagine the boat made
for you.
2024/2025: With the opening of its new workshop in Saint-Georges-sur-Loire, the company changes course: new name “l’Atelier des Gazelles”, new team with Anna, Géraldine, Dorine and David, renewed ambition.

Les Ateliers La Gazelle des Sables is made up of two divisions:
- An in-house naval architecture and design center, where Patrick Besnié customizes your equipment: layout, ergonomics, design, aesthetics, engine power, etc. Demand the very best in custom construction, and let us guide you through all your nautical pleasures.
- Long-term customer service: we support you before, during and after the creation of your boat: hot-line, on-site warranty, monitoring of construction progress and answers to all your questions. You can also take advantage of our group outings circuit, where Gazellists and their supporters get together to share the joys of boating in a convivial atmosphere: nautical excursions, maritime festivities, friendly regattas…
