How can we reconcile ease of use on land with safety at sea? Boats that are light to handle and well ballasted so as not to capsize? compact, comfortable, high-performance boats for maximum pleasure and minimum constraints?

Les Ateliers de La Gazelle des Sables have come up with the ideal, particularly clever solution: the ballast system automatically ballasts the underwater section of the boat. The keel fills up in just a few minutes when launched, expelling air through a vent. The keel is self-emptying as soon as it comes out of the water – as simple as Archimedes!

Advantages:

  1. Optimum safety: difficult to capsize, some boats are even tested to be self-righting.
  2. Absolute simplicity: no pump, no clapper, no maintenance, disconcertingly light to handle
  3. An absolutely flat floor: no clutter, no drift wells, no snagging
  4. More comfort for sailing with family or friends: the vast interior volume can be fitted with benches, seats and cockpit furniture to suit your needs.
  5. More fun at the helm: stable boats, high performance and exhilarating sailing against the wind, thanks to an anti-drift design more effective than a simple centerboard.
  6. More fun for every member of your crew: with a sail plan that’s tolerant for beginners, and can be overpowered at your own pace.
